Learn to belly dance! Based on American Tribal Style® & Fusion Belly Dance, this unintimidating class is a fun way to work out and learn the dance vocabulary! Beginners are welcome. We will be focusing on group improvisation and strong, energetic, rhythmic movements in this session! Get ready to shake things up! Bring your finger cymbals if you have them. (They are also available to borrow or purchase).All ability levels, shapes and sizes are welcomed and encouraged! This time-honored dance style isn’t just a beautiful path for fitness. Belly dancing enhances self-expression and self-confidence. Through dancing, we can learn to love and appreciate our bodies exactly as they are, while becoming stronger and more flexible at the same time.
No previous dance experience is needed.

Did you know the baby’s fetal position directly affects your labor and its duration? Come join us for an informative and interactive class to learn about the importance of your body’s movement in the third trimester
and how it helps to create an “Optimal Fetal Position”.
We will also take a look at the benefits of yoga during pregnancy and postures to aid common discomforts. The workshop will have an asana practice that is safe for all stages of pregnancy and will include poses that help in creating an optimal birthing position. This workshop is a great opportunity to connect with other pregnant
moms and learn some great “tips and tricks” for pregnancy, child birth, and postnatal care. We will touch on breathing techniques and yoga poses that can be beneficial during labor. Birthing partners are welcome to join!

- Dawn Harris (www.hilbredoula.com), a DONA trained doula, has been supporting parents during their childbirth journey for over 20 years. Her passion is to help women and their partners prepare physically and emotionally for labor/birth.
- Katie Todd, a certified Hatha and Prenatal Yoga Instructor, started teaching shortly after the birth of her first child in 2006. Katie’s goal is to create a positive and nurturing environment, where students can safely practice yoga at any stage of pregnancy.
awareness. In this workshop students will take time working with both to cultivate one of the facets of
life that is crucial to long term happiness. As part of the session each student will go home with a small
gratitude journal in which they can continue the practice through the gift giving season. Parents will
recieve a handout with ideas in which they can utilize the season to help their child find gratitude each
day all year long.
Each session stundents will practice classic teachings of yoga postures and breathing techniques with kid
friendly names to find a deeper mind-body awareness. From there we will use mindful awareness
techniques, calming breathing techniques, mindfulness stories, and cooperative community activities to
find appreciation in various aspects of life.
Practicing yoga and mindfulness with us will help your child increase motor skills, emotional intelligence,
social skills, and creativity.
